do creeper wings need to be able to hinge forward? i'm guessing so. Havn't used them much

They actually don't need to hinge. There have been many "fixed" wing creepers manufactured over the years, mostly in bass sizes. If I remember right the fixed wing creepers spin like a mutha when you cast them out . .. but retrieve like a regular creeper.

Corey is right, there have been several fixed wing creepers out. The most recent example would probably be Bitten Tackles Shaker. From what I've seen and heard the fixed wing creepers function more like a hybrid between a regular creeper and a jitterbug.
