I BELIEVE there is room for at least two more people at Skyview and possibly a room open at Carlin.

If interested, go to http://www.skyviewlodge.com or http://www.carlinlakelodge.com

Oh man, 3 weeks til my plane lands in Madison...10 1/2 more work days (yeah, there's some days off and a holiday in there), a few days on the water to practice a couple of new techniques I plan to employ, and about 17 sleepless nights. I've been waiting for this trip since February.
I've disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled 3 reels - and I'm not even taking them along! Maybe I'll work on finding my cool weather gear. That should kill a couple hours. I hope a crisis or two pops up at work, that tends to make the time go by faster. Good friends, good fishing, good times; this Outing rocks. I'm really looking forward to drinking a Spotted Cow - it's been nearly a year after all!
I wish Kevin was going to be there.

Sorno, you're a man after my own heart. Good friends, good fishing, and even better beer. Every time I head up to Eau Claire, I can count on a sixer of spotted cow waiting for me.

So far the baby has cooperated. 3.5 more days till I have TWO of them!!?? Man, what has this world come to. lol

I can't wait to get up there. That's a good Saturday to Sunday week for me up there. Haven't been up that way in fall in a few years. Looking forward to drag'n some meat, getting Sorno a topwater fish in October and watching the boys drink spotted cows while I schwill some Guiness. Mmmmm tastey. Ah yes, and hopefully a mega LDF tank as well. That would top it off nicely.

Now all we need is for water temps to cool down.

Paul, Skyview has some funky hours. I believe they are closed on Tues and Wed, and don't open until 4Pm Thurs-Mon. Best to leave a message with the dates you want a room, and then a call back number so they can confirm with you. Usually someone calls back within a day or two.

Perfect drift,

I will also be rowing some gin clears Thurs-Mon in PI. Family time so I'm limited to fishing when they are sleeping. Nothing like rowing in the night! I'll keep an eye out for you.

Good luck!

Ate at the Skyview about 10 days ago. They're looking forward to us heading up. I may eat there again this weekend.
Myself, Elby and my brother are in fo-sho. We'll be fishing Palmer and The Cisco Chain.

Just got back. I only fished 7 hours total from Fri-Sun because of family outings. I have to say it was the best sucker bite I haver experienced in the 7 years fishing there. I only worked one dark stained lake. Water temps 58ish. Way humid, rain, wind, dead calm it didn't matter I was running for more suckers. I also had two magnum tails shredded. In all I made contact with 7 fish. Three in the boat 38, 39, 44, three lost with bad hook ups, and the one that would have been my new personal best easliy a 50 inch class fish from a non-cisco lake. It seemed like 1-2mins before I finally turned her, then she surfaced and was only 2ft away from my partners frickin net. You know the rest she spit the one 3/0 I had in her. I need to beef the hooks up, the piggies are already out despite what the local guides and PI reports are saying.
Ramble on section-- I'm haunted by this fish and even more then ever now because I believe and had a second dance again today. I woke up early before departing PI, drove to town for a sucker and made 7 passes and on my last pass at 9ish in the same spot she hit yesterday screamed the clicker like a salmon but I didn't connect when I ripped her. It had to be her, she owns that little bay! Sorry to ramble on but when I try to explain this stuff to in-laws, etc by comparing the moment to seasonal waves in Hawaii and how people don't work while it's going.....it didn't work we had to leave at 11am.
Here's a pic of the 44 and the shredded sucker from my haunting
Sorry about the vert hold...I noticed a vertebrae out of whack
