Has anyong successfully inserted or otherwise successfully added weight to a shallw mag to make it run like a mag?

I have a number of shallow-mags I want to convert and was thinking about inserting a couple egg sinkers into cuts beneath the head of the bait.

Truth be known, I'm just a cheap SOB.

Just attach the bell sinkers to the hook hangers. I've done that to regular dawgs to get them deeper.
