Lambeau and I left some unfinished business on that lake. I am going to anchor and cast one spot for hours. That should give meaning to camping.
That is if my motor works with new plugs.

Location: Ogden, Ut | I started my weekend this morning as the weather for Saturday and Sunday isn't looking too favorable for gaining permission to fish. Went out for a couple of hours before work.
Got a pretty 42" tiger and a fat (and heavily overdocumented) 26.25 X 7.75.
yep, both were on J-13s
Not a bad way to start the day.

| Sorno, I don't think you need to always say pretty when describing your fish. By now, that is, or should be understood! hehehe
But please, always post pics of your fish, and make sure that thre is some of that beautiful background in them.
WTG!
hehe lambeau. no secrets spots on the river. And it would be more like, "Didn't we pass this same pipe 23 times already?" Leave the boat home, and jump in with me! I promise not to get you too dizzy! Slamr is welcome, too.

Maybe it's just me...it's been years since I've caught a tiger...but it seems like the tails are usually much more rounded than that one. What does the tiger expert (Sorno) say? Does that one have a genetic quirk? Or is it just me that has the quirk?

It's trick photography (seems to be all the rage these days...). When I first saw it, I thought the same thing. It appears that the fish has got the inner portion of the tail fin (the deepest part of the fork) turned toward the camera giving the illusion of being absent. Other than that, it's just a plain, old, bin-run tiger typical of Pineview.
So sorry Aaron, it's you that has the quirk!

well, talk about a perfect night on the water in Madison! nice warm evening, calm water, just about nobody else on the lake, good company, and cooperative fish.
Big Gun bagged this nice chunk on a BS Willy globe over the shallow weeds. very aggressive fish inhaled the whole back half of the lure - had to cut out 5 hook points!

So Sunday I hit the Mississippi for bass (I know) and had no luck. But somehow my dad caught a couple out of the back of the boat. But, at least I got on the water. |

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Winding down on a MN roadtrip. Filmed with Brad Hoppe and Gregg Thomas over the weekend and did great with some pretty cool footage wrapped up. I separated my shoulder right before the trip and it is getting worse, left arm and hand going numb. Had to cancel a day on Mille Lacs due to it and I'm not happy about it. Heading out in the morning with a mystery guest on a secret spot on my way back across the border.
Good stuff, yet not looking forward to my doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon.
I think I'll be able to shoot the 270 wsm one-handed just fine.

Location: oswego, il | Fished sunday and did ok. My buddy last a 35 that went airborn and he had three follws and a blowup on a rumbler. I caught my biggest bass ever on a home made 14" bucktail and did not see a musky untill 630pm. After that follow I hooked a fish only to watch all 45" of it come out of the water and toss my bait half way back to the boat. About the 10th fish of that size or bigger I have lost this year. I contemplated about 20 seconds over what needed to die. I hit my hooks quick with a file just to be sure, made my next cast and caught the musky pictured below. That was the last action we had.

| Went after metro tigers this weekend, had my gal's son with me. Moved a few on smaller bucktails, and he hooked up on a big tig trolling, but 25mph winds made it tough. She got on top about 10 feet off the back of the boat and in the waves did a couple head shakes and was gone. Mid 40 inch range fish, heartbreak.
5 minutes after that he hooks up again, this time on an anchor rope, so I got a like new Smith anchor out of the deal, not all bad.

| Lambeau, if nothing else, you're starting her off right. Now all you have to do is beat other musky fisherman's kids off her in about ten, 12 years.
In all seriousness, it's nice to see that. When I first started taking my two year old with me, there were a lot of people that just freaked out. Telling me that a two year old has no place on a boat, blah blah blah. I think he's got better boat manners than most adults I've ever been around!
That's a great picture. One to be deemed a classic.

| Fished cameron lake on saturday with my buddy Mat,he boated two fish and i myself got three all small fish under 40"s.Lost one good one that day about mid 40s on a big joe.Picked up my friend Brad for some lake scugog action on sunday,Brad put two in the boat and missed two fish the second fish Brad landed was areal horse maybe a fifty incher if not very high fortys with good girth no measurments taken but a real pig i will post some photos of this fish and several others taken sunday as soon as he emails the pics to me.I myself landed three and missed two.Two of the fish were decent one was on the small side, the one fish was in the mid forty inch range and had two really gross growths on it,the smaller fish i got in the same area had similar growths but not as developed, these were large tumors, some really nasty stuff,i took some close ups of this stuff which i will also post when i get the pics. |

Nothing like a boat dragging baits with a pink crib in the front. LOL Ellie has about a 2.5 hour attention span before she gets cranky out there. One good nap then back in we go. She definitely likes being out there though. Have fun out there!!! |
