Location: Minnesota | The muskies are biting with their mouth j/k I would use suckers in 12-14 (along the weededge) Otherwise try spinnerbaits in the same depth.

Location: Minnetonka | Try throwing some tail baits in the wind. If you've got a chop, go plop plop plop. Looking at other lakes w/ similar structure, it's obvious where the highest concentration of muskies live in Mantrap. Post the pics here when you get back.

Location: Bloomington, MN | My friend has a house on Big Mantrap and does fairly well fishing deep (20+') during the summer. He mainly trolls, and uses downriggers with Flatfish and J-Plugs. I've never heard of doing this either, but I've seen some pics of the fish, but not the set-up. What does one choose to believe these days? |

| No Muskies to show for 2 days of fishing. Howerver had a lot of follow ups, they just wanted to look. Played figure 8's with one for about two minutes before it decide it had enough fun. |

Location: Sarell, MN | I'm heading to Mantrap and fishing this Friday and maybe Sat depending on the fishing. This will be my first time to this lake. I was looking at a lake map and was wondering how difficult it is getting from one part of the lake to another. Is there anything I need to look out for.

Location: Minneapolis area | Wish I logged in before today there is a spot on the south end of the West Arm, the inlet to Home Bay. It is a very very shallow, lower unit by-by shallow. there is a spot about 100 ft from the east shore that is passable. It should be marked, USE IT. The rest of the lake should not be a problem

Location: Minnesota | Trolled cranks in 10-20. Floating or trolling suckers also been productive.
good luck,

Location: Sarell, MN | The trip to Mantrap was a bust. We had 7 follows but no fish, we caught 4 pike. They were fun but just not the fish we were looking for. All the follows came off shallow weed beds. Thanks for the info, I will keep it for the next time I go.
