| I bought a Crestliner Fishawk 1750SC last year with a 75 Merc (2-stroke) with an Autopilot 55, 12 volt trolling motor. Last spring the motor really seemed to move the boat very well. Now, it seems I have to keep it on 7 to full speed to keep it moving, especially if there is some wind. I have added a 9.9 4-stroke on the back. I thought maybe it was the battery, but I just replaced it with a Trojan SC225 and it's still doing the same thing. Does this sound right to all of you? If not, I believe it's under warranty, but I just don't want to be without the motor if at all possible. Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks,
Greg Them

| I have the same motor as you and am going on the second year as well. Took mine out for the first time and realized I went out with a half dead battery. She lasted all day in windy conditions. I rarely had her above 4. My boat is about 1,100 lbs. Maybe check your motor for wrapped fishing line? Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. | |
