My favorite patterns are perch, pink belly/grey sides, shadow(with a little red prism tape added on the tail and sides), and orange belly/dark gold back patterns.

Two of my top producers are the perch and black. But every Suick in my box has caught fish and I have more than 20. This year my best two colors have been Orange w/blk dots and Brown back, yellow belly.

I'm not sure it really matters. Muskie don't read the same books we do, and don't realize they are supposed to be hitting all the "new-fangled" colors. I have a feeling a lot of fish were caught on good old flat black with some wood showing through. I say, if the color gives you a warm fuzzy feeling it will catch fish. Does color have zero importance? No, but I think there are far greater pieces of the puzzle to figure out.

The perch pattern red hot thriller is easily the color I've had the most luck with. If theres perch in the lake you fish Id say this is a must have.

I'm with 4seasonangler. That sideways perch pattern (Red Hot Thriller) has become my best no matter what water conditions I seem to be faced with. I used to go to the old white belly/black back till I started using the sideways Perch.
