| heard of decent reed bites going on. but i have been getting my but kicked by this pattern. need help here. throwing spinner baits and top water wind blown dirty water, sunrise sunset but blanking alot lets talk |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | A bit of advise that Murph said in a presentation that works for me: when the perch are in then the muskies are too. If you don't have perch following your baits then get out of there. |

Location: Bemidji/Cass Lake | When they are in there you will know. Generally if I'm gonna try rushes I pick a section that is known to hold fish when the pattern is emerging. It's like fishing any other spot, there can be a "spot on the spot" type section. If there aren't fish moving there it is time to consider something else. Rush fishing is fun when its on, but be careful as to not hammer on it when it looks bleak. That's partially why I like this pattern so much. It doesn't take long to either cash in or rule it out.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I fish reeds in the spring and the fall with good results. Forage is key, as treats said, and location can be. I pitch spinnerbaits and buzzers as far back into them as I can, trying to find a pathway to get the lure through. Paralleling the edge can be very productive too, if the fish are out toward the outside edge. |

Location: Greenfield, WI | I have had good sucess when the reeds are being pounded by waves and wind, looking for the spot on a spot, nearest deep water, even though it may only have 2' of water at the reeds. |
