I've heard some say that a cold snap in the fall can actually turn Muskie on. Does your experience bear this out? At what water temps could one expect that to be true?

I noticed some major movement on Saturday--boated 2 and moved 1---then less than 48 hours later and with a new moon period aligned with the sunset (moonset 6:20 sunset 7:20) nothing was moving---picked up a pike.

I guess that cold snap over Sunday and Monday was not a plus.

Sat. water temps=72
Mon. water temps=63

So....cold snap in fall good?

We moved several and caught two Sunday morning after the cold front was in, but before the clear line hit. I talked to a few folks who did well Sunday night, so here the weather didn't hurt fishing Sunday...it was Saturday that wasn't real good until near dark because of the high skies and flat water.
