i read in outdoor notebook that the 10hp restriction was to be changed to a no wake. but there web site states that the hp restriction will remain .does anyone have more info on this subject. chris cpr

It was my understanding that they had some kind of a vote locally and guess who showed up and out voted the no-wake idea?, yep you guessed it, a ton of guys who didn't want to see their little lake invaded with big boats. I'm a little dissapointed because it may have helped to set a precedent which may have lead no-wake proposals for other big lakes like Evergreen which can be a real bear to get around on with only a trolling motor.

It's discrimination pure and simple and as someone wrote to a magazine recently in the paper, we go elsewhere. They lose our money. To bad, I would frequent these lakes more to but the 10hp discrimination rule has to be there. These rules make absolutely no sense. No wake is the way to go.

The 10 hp limit is "STILL" in effect.
You can use your big motor only to load and unload the boat.
