| ok here's the problem -- 2000 merc 75hp 2stroke is smoking like crazy -- just put in new quicksilver premium and still the same smoking problem -- do I have a bad thermostat or something else going on? -- any suggestion's.

Location: Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin | Similar issues with my 1999 60 hp. Took it to shop for checkover prior to our Canada trip. Shop said all was ok. Still runs fine, but I am at a loss too. Kind of embarassing at the boat landing when you smoke everyone off of the dock. |

Location: New London, Wisconsin | try synthetic oil...without naming a brand it really helped me with my last motor, 75 2 stroke 1995 Merc.
