The MuskieFIRST Servers are located in the heart of the flood zone in southeastern Minnesota, in a town that has been closed due to high water. Here's hoping we remain online through the next band of rain on the way through!

This is a serious flood, causing property damage and responsible for fatalities throughout the flooded area.

More later as this story continues to develop.

More rain tonight and tomorrow for that area. Several people have been killed and injured in the high water over there. And here we sit in Rhinelander, nearly dried out enough to put in a zip lock and last forever.

It is very nasty over here. We are used to high water in the spring from the river, but not 13 inches in this short of time. A train derailed also along with the mud slides and flooding. The national guard has been called in to help and we are supposed to get rain for three more days. Terry

I live about 30 minutes north of Madison in Sauk County. 8.1 inches from Saturday AM to Sunday at noon. another 2.3 last night & still raining. Too bad we can't divert some of this rain up to you guys in the northwoods, I know a lot of the lakes up there need it. It is kind of crazy, we had no rain, not a drop in July, & now this. At least we are still high & dry below the Prairie du Sac Dam. A little water in the basement is all so far. Good luck to all who are not so fortunate.

Here's a picture of a bridge just west of Muscoda WI, I'd hate to be the first person to drive up to it! There's 2 more bridges that are out along the river in this area. Not to mention about 500 ft of road. 8 inches of rain on saturday + more to come.
