| Heard you were down in Iowa, was wondering what lake you fished, and how far it is from the border?(MN/IA) Any other lakes closer? (musky lakes) Catch anything?

That spread quick... Yes The Midge and I drove down to Clear Lake and warmed up the engine for our KY trip in two weeks...Dodged some ice bergs...but had a great time throwing some Shady things for two hours. Didn't see a thing but we were not trying very hard. Besides that with Mr. Unlucky in the boat with me the odds were really stacked against boating a fish. Clear Lake is approx. 2 1/2 hours south of the cities. Iowa license is $40.00 approx. so it's not cheap.
That is the closest lake to the cities that I know of that is open. Spirit and the Oke are not open till mid May.
