Location: mankato, mn		Hello to all,
We're putting together a musky outing here at work for sometime in september. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for some good numbers lakes anywhere in mn. Of course, we just want to see some action, size isn't really a big deal. I've only got a 14' 25h lund so I'm trying to shy away from some of the big waters as well. Any suggestions would be awesome! thanks.

You might check MN DNR's site.

In WI action musky lakes are listed as "Class A-2".

The trophy waters are listed as "Class A-1".

That info is available on the DNR site.

I think everybody in MN would like to know of a good numbers lake too!

Seriously, with the 40" min and different approach the MN DNR takes I don't think MN has the kind of numbers lakes you hear Wisconsionites talk about.

A more appropriate question would be where to go for a friendly outing where you don't have to fight the bazillion other guys fishing ski's in Sept. The Alexandria or Detriot Lakes areas might be worth considering.
