| So, I stopped and looked at a boat today. 1990 Lund 1600 Stinger, 45hp Mariner overhead carb. If I recall correctly, that was the motor of choice for walleye backtrollers for the longest time, was it not?
Anyhow, not a whole lot of bells and whistles to this thing, which is kinda what I am looking for, wired front and rear locater/flasher and it actually has a gps/finder with it.
My concern, however, is the prop and skeg are shot, and there is a considerable amount of denting/damage to the hull itself. The guy wants a lot more for the boat than it is really worth.. It is in pretty sad shape to pay that. I did have a chance to fire the motor, and it appeared that it was in very good working order.
So, what would YOU guys say would be a fair price on the boat. I would realistically value it at under $2, but don't have a judge to go by since I almost never see them around here.
With that said, it really is almost perfect as far as what I have been looking for. | |

This site along with M1 are two sites that I'm watching while I'm shopping for a boat.
If you can, wait another month or so and the prices will drop even more.
Good luck! | |
