i usually practice catch, photo, and release unless i forget camera then its just catch and release. at least it swam away good not having to be taken out of the water.

one things for sure now im hooked, the one i caught was at least 46(couldnt get a good measurement by myself, it was too lively in the net and as soon as it was out it shot away) the big fish like that are completely different then the smaller mid 30s im used to catching.

Forgetting the camera is a sure way to get your biggest muskie (or any fish species). I'm not how sure them fish know that you don't have a camera, they just do.

At the start of the season I throw a backup disposable somewhere in the boat, just in case.

Always have a backup disposable camera with me in case the digital goes down. I have run out by myself at camp with no camera for some quick fishing and then had incredible action. All the more satisfying to just let them go boatside and thank them for the experience!

At Cass lake this year, when my Dad and my brother went out on a guide trip with Brian Jones. I went out fishing with my other brother, Dan, but we didn't bring a camera because we were only going to be out for 30 minutes and our dad took it with him. Bad mistake, because I ended catching my only musky of the trip during that 30 minute, but the worst part of it, was that our net had a hole in it that we were unaware of. So when we took the hooks out of her, we let her sit in the net for 10 seconds, and when I went down to get her, she swam through the hole in the net. Lucky for me, my bro got one picture of her in the net with his cell phone. She was around 35".

Got a 47 on Eagle last week. I was smart -- I brought a camera. I even brought extra batteries for it, in case I took so many pictures I needed to change them. Both sets of batteries, dead as ####! Only picture I have is the one Herbie took that's up on the AML website. Lucky thing is we got the whole thing on film, so as long as I can get Travis to send me the footage I'll at least have some record of it...

Stupidest part is I left one of those disposable cameras at home because I didn't want to drag too much stuff around!

ya i bring extra batteries and a disposable one now and make sure i have the digital. the worst part is i went out to fish on the lake, remembered i forgot the digital camera so went back to our cabin to get it but got side tracked, all the donuts and food, lol. i got something to eat then went back out to only realize i forgot the camera again! hopefully i can catch one that big again so i can get a pic.
