Subject: Minn Kota/Universal Sonar Question

I'm currently rigging my boat with a new Minn Kota 70 PD/AP/US and a Lowrance W67c Sonar. I ordered the adapter cable for that the W67c and the universal sonar and when I hook it up, the sonar unit begins to heat up. The temp reading continues to climb, however when I use the stock transducer that comes with X67c, the sonar runs fine. The Minn Kota appears to work fine-any ideas?????

Do you have your depthfinder powered from a seperate battery? With the new US2 you can not power the depthfinder from the trolling motor batteries. You also can not have the ground from the start battery tied to the ground on the trolling motor batteries.
