me and a couple buddies are looking for a spot to go troll for some muskies, and hopefully catch a fish. we would like it to be about 3-3.5 hours from central wisconsin. we were thinking pewaukee but we are open to anything. any help would be great. if you dont want to post you can email me as well.
thanks

any of the large central WI River reservoirs are open for trolling: Petenwell, Castle Rock. a bit more east gets you to the Winnebago chain lakes which are also open for trolling. likewise Madison and Milwaukee area lakes, although as you get further south you start finding elevated water temps. hopefully all the recent rain has helped with that though.

Pewaukee is way too warm to be trolling right now. Try lake Michigan.

Why not Dubay or Wausau? Not sure on temps but those both hold nice ski's.

You can definately troll right here around Stevens Point in the WI River. The night troll can be fantastic right now. Concentrate on the channel breaks.
