| Anyone have any experience with the EXT reel? Thought the 4.7:1 ratio of the 6600 might be a good cranker for the big blades, as right now I have a Record 60-HC (5.3) and a higher speed 6.3 that I use for gliders and topwater.
Love to hear any thoughts from anyone that's been using the EXT this season.
Thanks!

Location: Contrarian Island | I have one...for the money you are better off with the 7000 i CS Pro Rocket at 150 bucks and 4.1 to 1.....
they are nice reels but there are better reels for big blades for less money. |

| i have an EXT 5600 (small round reel, higher speed ratio).
i absolutely love it for small baits and especially for jerkbaits. very tight and smooth.
as bn mentions, that line wouldn't be my first choice for the oversized bucktails, but for the right application this is one of my favorite reels.

Location: north central wisconsin | i almost bought a couple to replace some old Morrums, but the rep at ABU told me not to use them for 'heavy' Musky fishing. I think, as Lambeau said, they'd be great for the proper application, but you might be tearing up an expensive reel with the big blades. |

| Good advice, love this board for that. Thanks you all, probably gonna go Calcutta 400B used from Ebay or somewhere. Tried and True and I prefer the thumb bar instead of pushbutton of the 7000.
