Location: Wadsworth,IL | Looking to take a trip up to northern Wis. Anyone have input on a good numbers lake. I am taking a buddy who hasn't boated one yet. I fish mainly IL and S Wis. Don't know much up north. |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | The Eau Claire/Chippewa/Rusk County areas offer pretty good fishing from Sept thru October. Our chapter has a tournament mid Sept with good numbers of Muskies caught.

Location: searchin for 50 | Wildcat would be a good lake. The launch is fair,nothing spectacular.It has a pier and is a little shallow on the one side. I have launched a 16' boat there no problem. You can basically start fishing right out from the launch. There are plenty of 30-34" fish there. Bucktails jerkbaits and rubber baits will get you action.
Big Lake is also good. High and Fishtrap.Actually all the lakes are good just so many it's hard to choose. There are no guaratees in muskie fishing. Get yourself a sportsmans connection map book and start looking. |

Location: Gurnee, Illinois | Ballard Lake just south of Boulder Junction, and High Lake just north of Boulder Junction are also good number lakes. Both are within 10 minutes of Wildcat.

Location: NW WI | Little Arbor Vitae on Hwy 70 just east of Hwy 51 would be another good choice. The other lakes mentioned, especially Wildcat are good ones too. |
