So lately I've been out and the bait has been schooling about 10-12' down. I would assume I don't want to run lower than the bait so how much above the bait should I run? Maybe run the 10-12' range right thru the bait? Any help would be great. Thanks.

try running shallower cranks trolling at the 6 foot range . speeds at 3.9to5mph on boards normally will produce results. if the muskies are suspended there normally on the bite.. downsizing to 6 inch baits in cleaner or pressured waters does help. now go get a piggie

Generally with the warmer water the fish will chase more, so I would do like woodie said and run them higher. If you can run multiple baits, run a few around 10-12', then a couple in the 8' range and a couple in the 6' range off of boards.

When the water cools, or if we get a cold front coming through, then you have to be more precise and get them right in their faces.
