I'm heading to Minneapolis next Friday to spend a day with my son on Lake Calhoun. First time in over a year that we will share a boat fishing Muskies. Neither of us have ever fished it. Any advice will be appreciated. I've got a 12' Starcraft I've rigged up for row trolling those out of the way Muskie haunts. Thought I'd bring that.

have fun on calhoun guy I actually live very close,,mind what I tell you!!,,,be VERY,VERY, carefull where you park!! not because of safety or crime but because of TOW trucks,,You will be parking in the surrounding neighborhood streets make sure before you park to look at all signs on the block you park to make sure there are no time restrictions, because some of those streets have them...actually calhoun has an upscale restraunt right at the baot launch and everybody loves it if you care to try it or take a break,,Its been kinda tough this year but the water is nice and clear,,,10 inch hugheys or longer gliders usually move some fish and my buddy does well with twitched shallow raiders,,,fish see alot of bucktails,,hard to tell what the weeds willbe like has this gets frequent milfoil harvesting

Thanks for the heads up on the Parking!! It looks like an interesting lake, but I'm looking forward to the time with the son, Muskies would be a bonus. When you train them to be an excellent fisherman, hunter, and woodsman, then they move to the Big City, you feel somewhat cheated. Then the them with them becomes even more special.
