Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Where: Presque Isle, WI. - staying at Skyview Lodge http://www.skyviewlodge.com
When: Thursday October 25th to Sunday October 28th.
Why: cause it is arguably the best time of the year to get a Wisconsin trophy fish!
For the second time, we're going to run a Wisconsin trophy hunt, this October, with Thursday the 25th being the start date (arrival) and running through Sunday the 28th. This truly is the best time of the year to lock horns with a fat fish in Wisconsin, and the waters of Presque Isle are among the best places in the state to do it. The sucker bite will be on, the cisco spawn getting rolling, and the big mama's will be hungy. The great people who run Skyview Lodge http://www.skyviewlodge.com have put together an AMAZING price package for all MuskieFIRST anglers, and can sleep over 40 in total.
We're looking at an arrival date of Thursday the 25th, with the "official" outing starting Friday morning.
Breakfast and basic sack lunches will be specially prepared for those who go to the outing for a low price Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and meetings will be held both Friday and Saturday night. Howie Meyer http://www.sevenislandsguideservice.com will be speaking on Friday night to educate on the area, tactics that are hot, and to basically give everyone a positive lay of the land for the rest of the weekend. Each day though, Howie and Adam Johnson (owner of Skyview and area guide) will be going from table to table in the meeting area marking maps and getting all attendees right on fish.
Last year was a blast, with an overwhelmingly positive response from all who attended....so much so that there are only a few spots left right now at Skyview ALREADY! Not to fear though, other lodging is available in the area with the same price plan. Carlin Lake Lodge http://www.carlinlakelodge.com will be first alternate location and if we do fill Skyview AND Carlin, there are other places available for attendees!
Price: $50/day. This includes lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (breakfast and lunch), as well as Thursday for dinner. $50 a day for that....if you cant afford this price, you need to be workin, not fishing!
To book your lodgings call Skyview Lodge at (800) 480-2928, tell them you are going to be attending the MuskieFIRST event!
We hope to see you all at Skyview this year! Post here with questions and indicate if you've already got lodgings, and if you're looking to attend! |

Location: Racine, Wi | I may be up there at that time, so I may be able to meet up with you all at some point. Our next little one should be here by then, so we're heading up to Gma and Gpas for a quick weekend around that time. Dude, this may actually work out, cause I KNOW I'll be fishing, although I'll be fishing the Flambeau Chain not PI (I don't think) |

Location: Gurnee, Illinois | Don't worry about the lakes being crowded, there are so many to choose from. Last year was a blast, this year will be no different. With the great deal Adam set up, make sure you tip the staff at the Skyview, they work really hard at the bar and kitchen. Howie is worth every penny as a guide, but if he is booked for the weekend, Forbes Taylor or Chris Monroe may be available, and both are experts in the area. If the Skyview fills up, the Carlin Club is an awesome place to stay and eat, and Mitch is very knowledgeable about muskie fishing the whole area. If anyone needs any more info let me know, I may be able to help.

Location: Southwest PA | I procastinated just a touch to long. I just tried to get in at Skyview but they are sold out already, so we're in at Carlin Lake.
If you have never been at one of the MuskieFirst outtings this is the one you need to go to.
Your not going to get a better deal than what is being offered here. The food, the service, everything was great.
Dont be one of the people sitting back reading the posts on Sunday night after everyone returns home from the outting, posting all the pictures, describing the wonderful time they had, thanking everyone that made this such a great time, and think to yourself "Man, I should've gone...". Just go.

Location: Wheeling, IL. | OK, I’ll start the groveling! Have plans to get there Thursday night. Looking to be a net man (boat slut) for someone Friday and Sunday. Fished with K-bob and Rich W. last year and hoping to mix it up a little this year. Anyone with a boat willing to take a chance?

| this is a truly great time.
with Skyview full, definitely give Carlin a call as they have a very nice resort. it's nearby to the HQ/restaurant at Skyview and those who stayed at Carlin last year reported it to be a great place to stay.

I'm pretty sure that Howie is full for the weekend, and I know last year Forbes was totally booked, can you post here a little about you, your guide service and how people can get in touch with you? I know at least a few guys were hoping for guides last year and couldnt find anyone. |
