O Porus one, I'll try to clarify. You don't need to be a subscriber of MSN's dial up service to use their messenger and mail. You don't need to use their mail to use their messenger. Just like AOL's instant messenger, MSN's instant messenger is a stand alone application which allows you to send instant messages real time to others you know who also have it installed. Its free, give it a try, you'll be addicted in no time.

Sponge, it's just like being in the chatroom...kinda.
Just go to MSN Messenger and when it asks for your username just use your regular email account like I did. Good to go from there. I have received no crap mail since I signed up either.
