Well, it finally happened.  After over a year and a half I finally caught my first musky.  Or make that muskies.  Throwing a topwater propeller bait (orange and black Slam'er Thunderhead) to a weed covered reef at sunset on LOTW.  The first was caught after two or three casts.  I was in total disbelief and just stared at the fish in the water at boatside, didn't even net it.  Unfortunately she gave a headshake and the lure got caught on the side of the Lund and she got off.  Next cast I catch a 40" fish, no mistake this time, its in the net.  Had another miss after couple more casts.

Went back the next evening, no luck.  That's musky fishing I guess.

Thanks to everyone on the board for all  the great info. Oh, and I know I should have pics, but I was by myself and forgot the camera. I always bring the camera.  Maybe I should leave it home more often.
