Trying for the first time to install the product update files for my LMS-337CDF with no success.

Lowrance instructions say..

Turn your Lowrance LMS-337C DF unit off.
Place the MMC/SD card containing the updated operating software in the unit's MMC/SD card tray.
Turn your LMS-337C DF unit on. The software update will automatically install.

..but it doesn't work. Keeps coming back with version 1.2.0, trying to get to version 1.8.0. I know the SD card is good and the unit can read it, because I can save and load my data files. And I can see the product update files are on there.

Any suggestions (other than 'call Lowrance')? Does anybody have any of the versions between 1.2 and 1.8 stored on their computer that you could send me to try?

How did you install the update to the card? ie. did you use the "Install Now" option from the web page? If so, try using the stand-alone installer. I used it on my LMS-480 last year and it installed withou a hitch as far as I can recall. Just make sure you follow all the directions exactly.
Thanks for making me check the site, it looks like there is a new update for my unit.

try a mmc card only. some do not read sd's, even though they say it will. also try the smallest card possible. The smaller the card the better.
