| I have heard some people say that the night bite is the best. Black and orange are the colors for baits. | |

Location: Appleton | I just spent 10 hrs trolling breaks on Pewaukee and with the cooler water temps I might think casting would be a good idea. I didn't spend any time casting and should have but went out intent on trolling. Plenty of others trolling and I didn't see anyone get a musky. I was just about done for the night when I got a small musky (26") in about 8 feet. I tried bagleys, slammers, small jakes, small grandma's, and depth raiders. I went from bright to natural with only fish coming on perch color depth raider...short line. Best of luck. Just a question do most who troll here use bagley bang o b's or bagley monster shads? Anyone care to offer a color in those baits? Also when trolling over 30' of water do you stagger baits as far as running depth or just run them higher? Thanks.

| I was out there yesterday too, were you the single guy in the boat running three rods in the water?
I was in the Smokercraft. We did not score yesterday in six hours of fishing. I did a little casting in the shallows but trolled the rest of the time. Yesterday was my first offical time out "trolling" for muskies. I've always been a caster dude, at least for muskies. I plan on tweakiing my presentations and getting back out soon. I hate to let a lake beat me!!

Location: Appleton | I would bet that was me. I was out by myself and all rods were in the water to help with the floating weeds. It seems like it was a tough day all around. I talked to the guy at Smokeys when I got off the water and he hadn't heard of any caught. I've spent plenty of time trolling just not alot on this lake. I normally cast on Pewaukee but I had been scoring trolling lately so I figured I'd give it a try. The real steep drops to 18' then to 30-40' kinda throw me off. Not sure how far down to run baits, don't want to troll under the muskies but also want to be at or above the depth of the bait. Oh well always another day.

| I was in a friends one year old white alumacraft with a bad battery. Ended up sacrificing a battery to the minnkota for power. Only fish was 30" casting a walleye shallow invader, off rocky point. Talked to one other group that saw more action casting small bucktails over weeds. Liked the lake hope to be back soon. Dutchman | |
