Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin | i live in eau claire wi. i was wondering if there are any good musky lakes in the area that have good numbers and have a chance a 50+. say lake wissota, lake eau claire, lake altoona. i fish the eau claire river and chippewa river normally looking for a lake to fish. any thoughts and opinons welcome. looking in
Eau Claire Co., Chippewa Co, and Rusk Co, etc.... about this area. will go a little father if there is a lake that you guys say would be worth it. going fishing next weekend if that helps.

| Dells Pond and Half Moon both have musky in them, and they get up in the high 30# weights. Also the river, below the dam, produces, but you are probably already fishing them. Go north to Holcombe for numbers and chance at a 50 or Dairyland for good sized fish.
Two quick suggestions, find your way out to Mouldy's and simply ask them their opinion, get to Terry himself if you can, or join the Muskies Inc chapter near there.
added note, if Travis Smith is still up in that area, you could probably sneak in and put a GPS recording device on his boat and then print it out after a couple weeks...
