| My friend and I are relatively new to the muskie fishing game, we have been fishing together for 3 years and do our best to educate ourselves to the sport. I would love to hear what your five best baits are for successful muskie fishing on any body of water. Also have a couple of friends that are looking for an inexpensive vacation were they can catch multiple species of fish, any suggestions?? |

Where are you located? How far do you want to travel? and what do you consider inexpensive? and I assume by multi-species you want a lake with muskie correct? |

| For MN Top Five
1. Cowgirl
2. Magnum Bull dawg
3. M&G Spinner Bait
4. Top water prop baits/ Jack pots
5. Glide and/or jerk baits
No matter where you are any body of water that has muskies will be good for most other species. The muskies keep the bio mass down for the other species growing larger fish. For cost etc. research rivers where ever you are going for muskie populations and pools holding them. Rivers often offer camping just off or on them. They are not as suseptable to weather changes keeping fishing at a more even keel. Take your time on them and learn the water they are much more hazardous than lakes. But there are always lots of species no matter how you would like to fish. Another plus is that most are underfished. |

Location: Southern W.Va. | Jerkbait: Manta, Best and easiest to work on the market
Spinnerbait: M&G or Raddog
Bucktail: Mepps Musky Killer ( double tail) best there is
Crankbait: Crane or ERC DDD or DD
Topwater: Topraider or Large Globe
Just my picks but there are TOO many colors to choose from , that must be made given the conditions of the waters being fished. These will get you started. Good luck
