Please post up temps you saw when you are on the water...It seems to me that the reports so far this year have been 2 to 4 degrees higher then normal for this time of year.

thanks for your help!

What up Tim! I seen 75 degrees the 3rd week of june on the north side of pine island. About 72 when I left. The air temps have been up and down, It has probably not gotten much warmer than 75.

Yes air temp was 39, I heard reports of 33 in some northern towns, but yes water temps dropped to mid 60's.

Happy Hooker,

I can see why so many people fish at night for musky now, it's hyped in all the magazines, including Musky Hunter and Esox Angler (obviously because it works!). Which end of Vermilion were you on? I'm coming up to the West end the week of Aug 11 and may have to re-think my plans...thanks

I'd be tempted to throw a Mepps Musky Killer to try to stand out in the crowd...

I was up there last week for 5 days. Temps reached about 79 during the day. I would not watse my time during the day if it's high skies. I would fish low light only

Good idea.

Some guys I know threw everything but cowgirls at night and did better than some throwing nothing but.

I usually can't throw a bait everyone else is throwing, thats just in my head for some reason. I'll be happy to be the only one throwing a Shumway Giant Flasher, the big girls at Eagle sure liked it..

been there done that last week...you will not be the only one throwing those I saw them for sale in one of the local gas stations...

Those Giant flashers are big baits...Id say 1.5times harder then a cowgirl to bring in...not bad slow, but if you want to burn in you are in for a hard time!
