| I'm heading to Canada later this week and am looking to find moonrise/moonset data for the days I am there. Anyone have a web address to a site that I can find the data for the whole week. |

I bought a software a few years back that was awesome but can't remember the name of it.

| Couldn't find a link to Ontario on Bucher's site. Not smart enough to figure out how to use the military sites where you need to know the latitude and longitude. I found a website last year where it was easy, but I can't find it now. |

Location: The Yahara Chain | This website has some Canadian cities, if you have some gps coordinates for your lake you can make a custom calendar.

If you're staying at a resort call them and they'll know the lat and long. Or call any resort near where you're fishing and they're likely to know th co-ords. |

Location: Madison | http://www.almanac.com/rise/ includes provinces and state locations. Note you don't have to be dead-on with a location - if you pick a city within 50 miles, your times will be accurate to within a minute or two.

If you don't have the Latitude & Longitude go to "Google Earth" & zoom in on the lake then place your cursor on the landing or specific spot on the lake- the latitude & longitude will read out in the lower left portion of your screen. Also a great tool for setting up a map track for your GPS, i.e., if your GPS doesn't have Navonics or Lakemaster maps.
Latitudes are annotated with N (northern hemisphere) or S (southern hemisphere).
Longitudes are annotated E (East of Greenwich England) or W (West of Greenwich England). For North America, Mexico, Central America N & W are always used.
F. ex. If you ran your boat accross this spot you probably would lose your entire lower unit and sustain serious hull damage.
Lat - 49º 41' 26.95" N
Long - 94º 13' 40.58" W
If you want some additional details on Latitude & Longitude - see this->

Have fun!

Chinwiskers, I check the moon rise/set every time I go out fishing. I've found for whatever reason that is a "prime time". I usually fish my best areas during that time if I can. It's uncanny how often we get fish to go during that time. |

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Treats - - So do I, I hate moon up, Love moon under foot. sun down is the magic Hr. Moon-rise and sunset at the same time is the best time to fish. 3 days before and after a new moon or full moon is when most records are set. I plan most of my fishing trips around Full or New Moons. That said a fishing trip of the year is priceless, your time is locked in, best if you have a GPS in the boat, fish the best times that you have for that day. Time on the water catches the most fish. ---------------- (GATAGOFG (8) ) Marv. |
