I used the boat all week up north and it ran great, but when I went on the river today, the rpm,s were running to high for the speed I was going. I have a 200 ficht that runs about 55 mph at 5400 rpms. Today I was pushing 5000 rpm,s at 40 mph without being able to trim up the motor much. Does any one know what might be the possible cause and solution for this? Has anyone experienced the same thing? My boat is a 21 foot Stratos fish/ski if that info is pertinent. Thanks in advance for your advice. Terry

That would be my guess, too. Or a banged up prop.

I'm hoping it is only the prop slipping, that would be the cheapest fix. Probably a good time for a spare prop.
Thanks for the input. Terry
