i was at whitefish bay camp on calvert island a couple years ago.had some follows but never hooked up.was very unlucky as a major cold front came in and shut everything down.i was there the first week of august and did not even get on the water for 2 days because of high winds.clear water with good cabbage beds.don't know if this helps you at all,but i would go back.good luck musky hunting,Brian

Big fish water. Lots of great cabbage and structure. Gin clear - tough to work with sunny weather. Need chop and clouds and possibly night or real early a.m.

Paradise Island Resort is an island resort 5 miles SW of Sioux Narrows. It's a great place - The Horley's are real good people and will help to put you on some big fish.

South of Three sisters island and West of High rock island just West of the channel is some really good structure that holds big fish.

The maps are excellent up there as long as the water levels are in the normal range. Best of luck.

I'm not sure if you need accomodations or have that handled already, in case you do in my prior response I indicated the resort was "Paradise Island Resort" sorry I had that wrong. I just re-checked and it's:

The Sanctuary Resort

Got back from Whitefish Bay Camp yesterday. Tough fishing even though the weather seemed to be on our side. Saw 3 fish in 4 days and boated a 44". All fish seen were on mid-lake rocks with weeds. It should only improve in the following weeks as we were told they had been leaving the bays just recently. The fish we boated was on the steep corner of a reef just east of Bell island. Just make sure you don't overlook the edges of any deeper structure (9-12') off the edges of the visible rocks! Good luck.....

Lots of big fish. My advice is tone down your bait size. I don't think those fish want a meal, just a snack. I would use small natural colored baits and try jigs. Hopefully you can be up there with weather or fish at night.
