Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | I thought this was awesome and wanted to share it with you. Recently WMT Pete Konapacky contacted Hooksetter Phil Schweik to see if he could take his father musky fishing for the day on the Wisconsin River. Phil was astounded at how this 88 year could pound the water with crankbaits and never miss a beat. No brakes, except for pictures. Pete's dad set the hooks into this beautiful tiger musky all by himself. I think it's awesome that he's still givin' it, his son cares enough to get him on the water and that Phil could put him on this fish. It was probably 40"ish but his dad was more concerned about getting it back in the water than measuring it. Awesome, awesome.

Location: On your favorite spot | Pretty fish - God willing I'll still be pounding the waters when I'm 88 years old. At the rate I'm going so far this season I may not catch another one until then.... |

I'm not kidding myself, if I make 88, it's going to be soft foods and sponge baths. I may occasionally watch an R rated movie to get the old blood boiling.

If I was gov, I don't think 85% of the city of Madison would be very happy about it. First thing I would do is make them give me my $25 back for parking 10" over the yellow line with my trailer...The population north of hwy 10 would be happy! No taxes for musky anglers and bowhunters and hanguns for everyone!!!! Free insurance through Smith and Wesson! Healthcare by Quitchawhinin Ubigirl. Jet skis are only allowed on the lake on 1/4 moon phases and post frontal conditions from noon to 1 on lakes over 1,000,000 acres...AND...motor trolling is back Vilas County, get use to it! |
