I'm heading to the Lake of the Woods on July 23rd with a couple of buddies. Anyone have any recommendations where to stay and any hot spots?

Thanks!

Red Wing Lodge, Pine Island. There's lots of good places, but I'm not sure what would still be available. Good fishing.

maybe check out SunsetBay lodge in Sabaskong, I stayed there last year, fairly cheap, and the hosts were really nice.

Frank Walsh's Bay Store is a great place and coming from Winnipeg puts you at the Angle side so this should fit the bill. www.baystorecamp.com

I'd call right away though because July can be tough to find room.
