Curious what people think of various swim jigs on the market. What do you look for in a swim jig? Wobble? It's ability to come through thick veg easily? Strong hook?

I've thrown the Lil' Hustler swim jig and thought it was very nice for the price. Good hook, nice finish and skirt. The JMac's hook worries me, just not a fan of those "plated" saltwater single hooks, but the trailer keeper is a nice feature. How do the Bait Rigs and ERC jig-a-beasts compare? Thanks!

I have really only thrown the J-mac jigs, I don't see a problem with the hook as far as it being weak, if thats what you mean, just having one hook sucks altogether! been trying to rig a stinger with some fluro and a single hook bass-style to get all those short hitters that keep taking my tails!
I have found you just really have to work the point over all around it, get it dangerously sharp, and she'll bite in good. main thing is with hooking a fish on a jig, slam them hard, then back way off. let them swim for a bit. atleast that is what works for me. My buddy keeps losing them when he trys to fight them like they have 3 hooks in their yap.
Have heard good things about a flat style jig like the cobra, haven't tried one yet. sorry.

I like the Bait Rigs Esox Cobra jig. I usually throw either the 3/4 or 1/2 oz jig with a shortened Tiki Wave Anaconda. The Anaconda is like a large 7 inch single tail grub with a flat profile body. I think it gives me the best of both the shad and grub bodies. Flat for slow fall but with a grub like tail. Always have one tied on.

Owners 1/2 or 3/4 ounce Saltwater bullet jigs are great. Just add a 6" Lunker City salt Shaker. I do much better with a plain jig and the Salt Shaker than the jigs with the rubber skirts on them. Rig the Salt Shaker sideways! It's a great system, especially in clear water or pressured lakes.
