| I got a bad backlash that tried to come out through the levelwind on a Shimano Corsair CS 400A (one of the new gold ones)it popped the level wind wire out of its groove. I popped it back in, but on the next cast, the real screamed loudly. If you try and reel in the level wind gets stuck at either end. Upon further inspection, if I flip the reel upside down, there is a plastic cap that contains the steel levelwind follower fork. This cap is cracked, and the follower fork has some big grooves in it and dinged badly. Can I get a metal cap, instead of plastic, and what else do you think might be broken. Thank you for your time. | I would send it back to Shimano and demand they replace it . Any problems that I have ever had with any of my Shimanos have been taken care of by the company. They are very good about replacing instead of repairing.

| Where am I? That's what I was asking myself earlier! I read your post on the reel auction; tore me up! As I sat here weeping out of control I guess my tears shorted something out in the wifes computer 'cause I felt a jolt + was blown out of the card table chair into the wall behind me..... I just came to a short while ago. Felt the same way when the wife threw a clock radio in the tub w/ me last Christmas... I'm OK I guess but my clothes are scorched + my left eye is bigger than the other.The reel is YOURS! You need it worse than I do I guess BUT.... I fear others may not be as compassionate and are turning this into a sell something so I can afford this reel affair! Good luck![:blackeye:] [:sun:] |
