| Last weekend I updated my units..(110c & 334c). 334 works fine 110c is giving me all kinds of weird feedback. Before I installed the updates the water column was always clear of debris and interference, baitfish showed up as baitfish and fish were clear and easy to pick out. And when I ran the motor wide open there was no screen interference at all. Now I have so much interference that the screen almost blacks out when driving full speed...all kinds of black blobs all over the screen through out the water column. Also in under 20 fow the debris is really bad its showing up about 8 feet or so off of the bottom no matter what depth I am in. and makes reading difficult....Talked to lowrance after a 35 minute wait and they have heard nothing of this and told me to play with the unit.
I run my sensitivity on 70%, chart speed 100% and ping speed at 100%
surface clarity on low and noise interference on low. BEFORE THE UPDATES!
NOW I am running sens. on 45% and surface clarity on high and noise interference on high, and its helping a little but now bottom detail and baitfish detail suffers to the point where I almost don't have a bottom.
What's Wrong
any help would be appreciated. thanks Mike |

| My Dad just dealt with this. Lowrance said something about the latest software update had a glitch in it and the next update is on it's way very soon. It should remedy the glitch. Luckily, I didn't update my 111 yet. Not sure what to do in the mean time, but call Lowrance, they know about it. |

| I don't update my Lowrances unless I have to. I learned the hard way a couple of times. I updated my 332 only to find that it will not turn on to the last screen you were viewing but instead everytime you turn it on it defaults to the full map screen, some sort of copywrite infringement I guess with Micro Soft. |

| I updated my 332 so that it would network with my new 113 better as I was told it would by Lowrance.

| Just checked the walleye central site where there is a lngthy thread talking about the current update. Lots of guys switching back to the 1.6(might be off a bit on numbers so check), after issues with sonar readings. |

Location: Green Bay, WI | Can't the unit's firmware just be rolled back to the last stable version? I would think Lowrance would offer the archived versions of firmware for just this sort of an issue. I have never really checked though. The only Lowrance unit I ever upgraded was an X15 about 4 years ago--and that was buggy, to say the least.
So if my unit works, I am good. Firmware upgrades are inherently dangerous in my experience. Ask them if you can roll it back...
