| How do you guys fish your bulldawgs? Im a rookie musky hunter and heard alot of talk about different baits and colors. Im looking for input on anything you guys and gals will share. I got a blk and orange bulldawg with the spinner, and I was wondering how everyone fishes this bait. I went out on Sat. for my first muskie opener in Mn. had a great time had a few littlle guys follow and one monster. Im hooked, what a rush |

Location: South Portsmouth, KY | No wrong way! I have gotten the most fish action just reeling it straight in with a few twitches and pauses throughout the cast.

Location: On your favorite spot | there's no wrong way to work a bulldawg at all, but there's ways you can work it to improve you hooking percentages.
i like to slow pulls with constant reeling - most of the time the fish will hit at the end of the pull, you can feel it, take up the slack, and be in good position to slam the hooks home.
the bulldawg is my all time favorite confidence bait - keep with it. |

Location: Watertown, MN | How to work a dawg. Throw and retrieve.
Bluebird conditions, usually slow em down, a with occasionally change in directions, work the dawg deepers, then burn the dawg up the into the figure 8, this tend to get them go with the vertical change and increase in speed.
When fish are more active tend to pop and swim, and change directions, little more aggressive retrieve.
when working deeper cabbage, make contact and rip the dawg out of the cabbage.

Location: Minnesota | I have found the jerk pause works best. I like this tech with the shallow Dawg. Give the lure more "air" time. That extra pause works great for me during my Canada trips. Got a 43 inch pike last year and my buddy got a 47 inch using this tech. |
