"Silver Lake Report May 30"

Water Temps: 71-76 Degrees
Hours Fished: 5:45PM-9:00PM

First outing for me on Silver Lake this year. Had clients out and we ended up seeing 2 muskies, 1-sucker, 1-Slidin' Shad and right at moonrise had an upper 30 inch muskie come in real hot on a Super Surface Slider. The musky grabbed the bait and my client set the hook but infortunately the musky was facing him on the hookset and the bait came right back out of his mouth. Also caught 1 northern on a Suick. Weed growth is really nice out here right now with a lot of pondweed cabbage which is very fishable. Water clarity is a little green but not bad. Look for early morning and evening to be your best times and cloudy days. Good luck to all

"Silver Lake Report June 3"

Water Temps: 71.3-75 Degrees
Hours Fished: 5:30AM-1:00PM

Today I had client Jim with his 2 sons ages 14 and 12 great kids. We mixed it up today a little. Fished for muskies and bass today. Musky action was OK seen 1-Slidin' Shad, 1-spinnerbait, and 1 musky hooked and lost on Slidin' Shad, we also caught 2 notherns on spinnerbaits. We then switched over to soft plastics which included rigging them wacky style. Caught 1-LM Bass, 1-SM Bass, 1 Rockbass and 1-Sunfish. Also had another musky miss a Super Surface Slider just as the mid day storm was moving in. Look for pictures to follow in the next couple of days.

Fished with c44hmusky on Sunday morning, and just the sound of the blades clangin together on Mike's double cowgirl in his tackle box had em jumpin in the boat. Had action from 5 fish, just couldn't keep hooks in any of them. Fish were chasing small bucktails and small gliders in and around the new weeds. Most action came midday, as the waterskiers and jetskis beat the water to a froth. Tough time just staying in the boat.

"Silver Lake Report June 14"

Water Temps: 79.5-80 Degrees

Hours Fished: 5:00PM-8:45PM

The water temps are sure getting pretty warm. Myself and my clients had a great evening on the water. I caught 2 muskies measuring 37 and 31 inches. Also caught 2 northerns that were 25 and 29 inches. All fish were caught on Bull Dawgs on the weed edges. This all happened while there was boaters racing around the lake. Check out the pictures below.

I would like to give this lake a try. I have not been able to figure out where the boat launches are, could anyone provide directions to the launches? I will be coming up on I294 from the Chicago burbs.

Is the a Silver Lake county park accessable by boat. I might be taking my two sons and it seems like a good place for some lunch.

Thanks,
