Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Hit about 4 area lakes from a few thousand acres to tiny pot holes. Best I can say is that a lot of fish were on the move, chasing mostly spinnerbaits in the weeds (bright colors got them going), but very few eating, and all fish on the small side (20-32").
We boated a little one, missed 2 (one on a bucktail, one on a weagle), fished mostly 1/2-3/4 of a cast off of the thickest weed lines we could find.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I'd add that the lakes we hit seemed to have fish on the edges except Moen. That lake, as usual, featured muskies in 2' and slop.
