hey guys.. been having a problem trying to tune the in Slammer crankbait.. no matter what position i try to bend the eyelet i cant seem to get it to run correct... any solutions? maybe a sticky lead weight? its only 7/8oz 5" long

If they blow out while running at a fast pace, probably normal. Slammers are more of a twitchbait

I have a bunch of Slammers and they all are just a little different. Great twitch bait or trolled at slower speeds. I do very well with them casting and trolling. Speeds over 3mph on the minnow baits will get them to blow out. I do have some that can be run at higher speeds but because of the smaller size they get real eratic. Thats when they are at there best. The older 7-inch Slammer is a great twitch bait, one of my best, but it can't be trolled very good.

Some of the best twitch baits are very hard to troll because they go in every direction at higher speeds. So, your hard to tune baits are great twitch bait. Go work them casting, you will be inpressed at what those little hard to troll baits will catch for you.

Here is a fish my client Jack Allen got a few weeks ago on that same bait.
