When you are looking at purchasing a boat, how much emphasis do you look at with:

no kicker motor vs. kicker motor (hydraulic or manual)
full glass windshield vs. single/double console

I think much of that depends on the kind of water you are primarily fishing, and the type of fishing you will be doing beit walleyes, muskies, northerns, etc and the style (casting or trolling). Regardless, if you are on big bodies of water, or Canadian Shield Lakes, I feel a kicker is mandatory. You never know when somthing might happen like a rock decides to eat the lower unit of your main motor, or you have some other unforseen breakdown. You need a way off the lake, especially if weather rolls in, etc.

As for windshield, again, I think that ties to the bodies of water and type of fishing taking place. I know I would not go full windshield since at times I can have 4 casting in the boat and that windshield takes up a bunch of space. A single console can do that too depending on the boat you are considering.

Lots to think about
