Along the lines thread...

Has anyone use Berkley Big Game BRAID? I had never seen it before yesterday. I'm familiar w/ the Mono, but how is the braid? I know Pure Fishing is often apt to market similar (virtually the same) products under different names in an attempt to capture slightly different market shares. I can't imagine this being a whole lot different that Spiderwire Stealth, at least in terms of strength, diameter, etc. Maybe w/o the teflon and the dye (it comes white, which I found appealing).
Any input would be appreciated.

Sorno,

I ran the Big Game Braid last year on Lake Michigan for my dipsies. I too used it because of the white color and it was fine. I figured using it day in and day out with the pressure of the dipsies would be a good test. No failures for me at all. Great knot strength and durability.

Thanks Chuck!
I just spooled a couple of reels up w/ it and will give it a try later this week - it does feel remarkably similar to Stealth. Maybe not quite as stiff, we'll see what a good soaking will do for it.
