I just bought a new c 4 the drag does not tighten all the way. I've heard the same thing from another guy who has two of them. Anyone know anyting or how to fix?

Sounds like you need to change the drag washers. I would highly recommend the smoothies.

Make sure they are not wet with grease or oil, the main washer inside. If there is oil, the drag will slip. You can also replace them with carbon fiber discs or smoothis as mentioned before....

What kind of line are you running and do you have backing on the reel? Very often it's not a drag problem but the line is slipping on the spool.

I know its not the line sliping because my reel is a 5600 ws wich has holes in the spool I put the line threw the holes. My freinds has the regular c 4 and he has backing on both of his and his drag has the same problem. Where do you get those smoothis washers?

Eggs, before you do that, take it apart, and wipe down the drag washers with a paper towel. If there's oil or grease coating the washers you can tighten it until the cows come home and it will still slip.

If it is new, you shouldn't have to take it apart and do anything. Take it back, it should tighten up.
