Has anyone tried fireline crystal yet? I'm not looking to fish Musky with it but I am thinking of trying it for bass. Does it have alot of memory? How is the stretch?
I have power pro on all my other rods and I love it, but I see alot of the guys on the shows useing it and they say how great it is but dont tell you any details.
Thanks, John

Firelin has basically no memory like the braids, it is a little stiffer due to it not being braided though. There is no stretch just like the braids. I love this line for jigging walleyes and other finnese applications.

Fireline has more memory than braids do. The crystal is the same stuff they've been making for years, only not dyed.

Last week my 14y/o daughter brought a 9# walleye up from 25' of water using 4# Fireline Crystal on a ice fishing rod. Took her 10 minutes to get it to come off the bottom. The stuff is hard to tie well (for me anyway) and it looks like bright white thread in the water.
