Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | Where are you getting this forecast from?
I just checked the weather channel's forecast, and unless you are talking about Celsius I don't know see temps anywhere near 24 degrees.

Location: Sun Prairie, WI | 24 Celsius would be 75 Fahrenheit, so 24 C makes sense.
According to weather.com, the forecast for Hayward on 5/26 is 61with a few showers and an overnight low of 42. |

Location: Onalaska, WI | National Weather Service forecast for Hayward as of 7:30 pm Wed. 5/23 is for lows of 45-43-47 Sat. thru Mon. mornings!
While that's not 24 the question of how this might effect Musky location and presentation and lure selection is one I'd be interested in seeing some discussion on.

| Well last weekend I spent 11 out of 12 hrs casting shallow during that nasty coldfront that came in Sat afternoon in Vilas Cty. And the only action I had all day was when I decided to take a few casts the other direction over deep water and I had a nice high thirty inch ghost white musky follow.......... This weekend im starting deep and working my way shallow. Enough with the old folklore small bait, dark water,BS.......................... We've learned enough by now I hope not to believe everything you've read in the past! If you do your missing out!!!!

| Water temps are already in the mid sixties. The weeds are high already on the Chip and probably are on other lakes too with the sunny days we've been having up here. Most of the fish are done spawning and this is about the fifth or sixth cold front in a row so this cold front wont effect them as bad as the first couple of the year. I'd try the main lake weedbeds and some of the points adjacent to spawning areas for big fish. If you just want to catch some, the small males will still be back in some of the spawning bays. Topwater will be good right off the bat this year. Can't wait!
