Location: S.E. Wisconsin | Anybody towing there rig with these trucks? How do they handle, gas mileage still good? With the gas prices the way they are Im looking into a mid-size. I would be towing a Tuffy sportsman with a 75merc, should be OK, I believe my rig is way under 4000lbs....any comments?? |

| You'll be fine, your boat probably weighs less than half that.

| A friend of mine has a colorado and gets really good gas milaage for a midsized truck. i don't know that he has towed anything with substantial weight but it seems to have pretty good power. Another friend of mine drives a Tundra though and that thing is a dream. Doesn't lose a whole lot while towing at all. |

| I had a colorado and towed a 1775 Pro v with it. The truck had plenty of power, but it is a light vehicle and I wasn't real comfortable at highway speeds. My family expanded so I bought a trailblazer and I'm much more comfortable towing my boat in it. I think the colorado weighs about 3,000 lb. and the trailblazer is about 4,000. My rig weighs about 2700 lbs. loaded and with the colorado you definitely knew it was back there. |
