I noticed yesterday that my transducer wire for my flasher has some wear on it and a bad connection in the same spot. Anybody ever cut the tranducer wire and splice it?

I am going to give it a try being it doesn't work anyhow. If you have do you have any tips on how to do it?

Thanks Keith

Thtat's CoAx, so it's sensitive to splicing. Where's the break?

I've tried it and it pretty much doesn't seem to work. But like you say it doesn't work all ready!

Good luck!

I looked at mine with thoughts of trying that, and feel I saved time by immediately ordering another transducer.

Co Ax is easy to splice with the proper connections, I do that all the time with my Sattellte system. The connection has to be above the water, though. Parts can be acquired at Radio Shack. About $6 if they have the right stuff.

I appreciate the responses.

It is going to be right at the water line on my trolling motor. I am not sure what happened to cause the wires to seperate.

I will give it a try otherwise Marcum here I come. Going to be hard fishing Mille Lacs this week without my flasher up front.

Hope all is well.
