Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I didn't total up the scores because the numbers were over 30 fish for Pewaukee and only a handfull for Okauchee that were posted or told to me.
I figured with the fish John caught(49 and 45) and the 48 that was also caught it was best to leave it like we thought it was going to be. Pewaukee kicked ass with some major numbers with Pewaukee's biggest fish a 46.5-incher from the lake. A 51-incher was caught out of the Pewaukee river across the street from the lake.
Okauchee kicked out three big fish, a 49, 48, and a 45 that I know of. Anyone else catch fish from Okauchee or know of more? Kevin Rand got a 38 and Kevin Moore's client got a 34-incher. Joel got a low thirtys fish I think to go with some pike. Thats all I know of. I am sure a few more fish were caught out of Okauchee. Pewaukee kicked out 5 fish to 1 on Okauchee. A 46.5 and a 43 were caught Pewaukee. I lost my chance to get in to the mid 40's but boated a 36 and 32-incher on Sunday.
Total weight and numbers go to Pewaukee for sure. Average weight per fish goes to Okauchee for sure. Okauchee is truely a trophy fishory. If you want to catch a big fish thats the place to put your time in. If you just like to catch muskies then Pewaukee is the best bet.
I started that post to help get us through the last month of waiting. It was fun to kick around some crap to each other. I hope people didn't take it the wrong way when we had some fun on those posted messages.
All in all it ended like we knew it was going to. Okauchee holds the best chance to score a big fish and Pewaukee hold your best shot at catching a muskie. |
